I've now reached the amount for the plane tickets and am focusing on the cost of the volunteering itself. I've also had my first offer of clothes, as I'll be taking a bag of children's clothes to donate. Contact me if you'd like to help in this way.

With more than a year to go, I've already almost raised the money for flights! It's amazing how quickly things can happen once you set your mind towards a goal.  Now I am focused on raising the amount for the cost of the volunteering itself.  Fabulous!

We had a great time at the Restaurant 09 showcase, including tasting Camel (from Territory Camel), getting strung out on too much caffeine thanks to Belaroma Coffee, and melting over Serendipity Ice Cream!

I'm new to this blogging thing.  Writing, that is, not reading.  But I am a huge fan of Simpleology.

So I was pleased to notice they are offering a blogging course - just in time for me, hey!  Not only that, all I have to do is plug it here and I can access it for nothing.  Well, I'm sold.  I know their courses are great and this one has arrived just in the nick of time, so here's the facts:

I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.
